Hatha Yoga with Jane

About Jane

Welcome — I’m Jane Hathaway, founder of Hatha Yoga with Jane. I offer accessible, compassionate, and transformative yoga for individuals, groups, workplaces, and retreat settings. Whether you practice online via Zoom or in person at The Yoga Cabin—my peaceful garden studio in Burntwood, Staffordshire—you’ll find a welcoming, supportive space dedicated to your wellbeing.

My Specialism: Trauma Resilience Embodied Yoga (TREY)

As a certified TREY (Trauma Resilience Embodied Yoga) Teacher, I specialise in supporting nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and resilience. TREY sits at the heart of my work and informs everything I teach. This trauma-informed, body-led approach empowers you to feel safer in your body, manage stress more effectively, and gently rebuild inner steadiness—whether you’re navigating overwhelm, anxiety, or the lasting impact of life’s challenges.

Alongside TREY, I am a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT), Yoga Alliance Professional (YAP) member, and an experienced teacher of Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Pranayama. With over 30 years of personal practice, I bring depth, sensitivity, and approachability to every session, helping students of all backgrounds and abilities feel grounded, seen, and supported.

My Journey

Yoga has played a profound role in my own life. After experiencing prolonged stress that culminated in burnout and clinical depression, I turned to yoga as a way to restore balance and wellbeing. What began with simple relaxation techniques soon became a deeper exploration of the Eight Limbs of Yoga and the discovery of a practical toolkit I still use every day—on and off the mat.

This lived experience shapes how I teach. I know what it feels like to feel overwhelmed or disconnected, and I know first-hand how embodied practices—especially TREY—can guide us back to clarity, ease, and self-trust.

How My Services Support Transformation

Every offering—whether a group class, 1:1 session, corporate programme, retreat, or workshop—is designed to help you:

  • Build resilience and respond to life’s challenges with greater steadiness

  • Reduce stress and anxiety through mindful movement and breathwork

  • Reconnect with your body and cultivate compassionate self-awareness

  • Improve mobility, strength and flexibility in a safe, supportive environment

  • Enhance emotional wellbeing and discover tools for self-regulation

  • Develop a meaningful personal practice beyond the yoga mat

  • Rediscover joy, balance, and calm in everyday life

My trauma-informed approach ensures your pace, boundaries, and lived experience are honoured—creating a nurturing space where transformation unfolds gently and sustainably.

A Balanced Approach

I teach with warmth, humour, and grounded authenticity. Yoga is not about striving or perfection—it’s about presence, curiosity, and balance. And for me, balance absolutely includes the joy of a good G&T, a love of ice cream, and plenty of laughter shared with friends and family.

Let’s Connect

If you’re ready to explore yoga—especially trauma-informed TREY—as a transformational practice, I’d love to support you.

Yoga is for everyone. If you can breathe, you can do yoga.

Peace and love,
Jane
